Welcome to the Volunteer Centre Nuneaton & Bedworth

Volunteer Centre – Nuneaton & Bedworth is a local volunteer development organization, which is a registered charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee operating in The Borough of Nuneaton & Bedworth in Warwickshire in the West Midlands region.

As well as our core functions as a volunteering infrastructure organisation, we provide established and valuable services to the community, these being: Medi-Car Transport Service, Supported Shopping Service, Community Craft Project and Connecting Communities and have set up a trading arm to generate alternate source of income. These services are available across the whole of the Borough of Nuneaton & Bedworth and we have a client base of 1200 service users and 70 in house volunteers.

We are part of a large network of some 350 Volunteer Centres nationwide and a member of Volunteering England (VE).

The Volunteer Centre (formally Nuneaton & Bedworth Volunteer Bureau) was founded in 1986 to promote and support volunteering in the Borough of Nuneaton & Bedworth and surrounding areas. The Centre responds to the needs of individuals and organisations, by helping volunteers to identify their interests, aims and aspirations and by matching these to appropriate volunteering opportunities.

The Volunteer Centre is a registered charity & a company Limited independent of, but co-operating with over hundred local voluntary organisations. Core activities focus on the recruitment, placement and support of volunteers across the local community.

Volunteer Centre is a Local Development Agency set up to promote and develop volunteering to the people of all age groups, back grounds and abilities within Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough.

Our aim is to make volunteering more fun and enjoyable for individuals of all ages, as without these volunteers none of the local voluntary organisations would be able to serve the community.

Our service is available to:

Existing volunteers.

Individuals wishing to volunteer.

Volunteer involving organisation from any sector.

Employers wishing to encourage employee volunteering.
